objective

• to understand and describe compass survey
• to determine the final bearing by using suitable method and sketch the traverse

instruments

• surveyor compass
• tripod
• plump bob
• measuring tape
• ragging pole

procedures

• set up compass at the first station
• station or work direction must be in clockwise
• observe fore bearing for station 1 to 2
• record the reading in column fore bearing
• rotate the compass and observe last station
• record the bearing and fill column back bearing
• transfer the compass instrument to station 2 and observe station 3 and 1 for fore and back bearing
• repeat the process at all stations
• do not forget to observe the details

conclusions

• based on what I had learned  in this compass survey are I'm successfull to know how toread a bearing from one point to another point and determine the final bearing by using suitable method and sketch the traverse. I'm also know how to use instruments in the compass survey and do the calculation
